Jeepers Creepers Layouts

I've been having so much fun with the Jeepers Creepers paper this month! I was so excited when I first saw it in the catalog, and I haven't been disappointed. Some of the patterns are so bold and fun, but there are plenty of subtle patterns to keep it all balanced.

Sometimes I love coming up with my own layouts, but a lot of the time, I just want quick and easy and for someone else to do all the work! That's why I love the scrapbooking workshops from Close To My Heart. If I don't want to really think too hard but still have great looking layouts, I go for these kits. I can cut everything in about 20-30 minutes, and then it normally takes less than 2 hours to put all three layouts together!

I finally got around to taking pictures of my three layouts from the Jeepers Creepers Workshops Your Way kit, and I want to share them with you.

These layouts turned out super cute, and all I had to do was follow the instructions that Close To My Heart provides! The kit comes with everything you need to make three complete two-page layouts, and you even have paper and embellishments left over.

Let me know if you have any questions or would like more information, and I hope you give this fantastic kit a try!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage

Next Hostess Club Coming Soon!

I'm going to be starting the next round of my six-month hostess club in November, and I'd love it if you could join us. You will receive free product, free idea books, and extra goodies - without hosting a party!

Here's how the club works:
  • Six people commit to spending $25/month for six months.
  • During one of those months, you receive hostess benefits, which would be at least $25 in free product!

As a member of the club, you would also receive
  • free idea books in advance of other customers
  • a free mini stamp set when you join
  • advance notice of monthly specials from Close To My Heart

Other Information
  • You can commit to two spots if you want to spend $50/month and two months of hostess benefits!
  • You can get outside orders from family and friends during your month, which will increase sales for the month and earn you more free product.
  • If the six spots fill up and more people are interested, I will start another club.
  • You do not have to be local to join. You can place your order on my website and have it shipped directly to you each month. Your free product will also be shipped directly to you during your hostess month!

We will be starting in November, and I already have three spots filled up! You can email, call, or text me to sign up!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage

Rustic Home Cardmaking Workshop

I want to let you know about a cardmaking workshop I will be having in October. I'm really excited about this workshop because you'll get to play with so many fun products! The cards will be pre-cut, and everything is provided for you, including adhesive. All you have to do is show up!

During this workshop you will make eight beautiful cards and learn about heat embossing and our fabulous Thin Cuts!

Here are the eight cards you will be making:

These cards feature the Happy Heart stamp set, which is one of my favorites - especially since it's only $6.95!

The cards also use the Rustic Home Fundamentals paper packet. These papers are beautiful, and they include some kraft paper, vellum paper, and copper foil accents.

Another fun product that you'll get to use and learn about during this workshop are our Hearts Thin Cuts! These are so fun and easy to use, and you get two hearts - an outline and an inside - every time you use them!

Here are some close-up pictures of the cards. Hopefully you can see the embossed images and the thin cut hearts a little better in these.

Card Buffets

I have discovered over the past few months that I really enjoy doing card buffets! Here are a few of the cards I've featured at my buffets, but I am always working on new and different cards.

Want to know how a card buffet works?

Well, here's how!

The buffet lasts for two hours, and in that time, you can make as many cards as you want! I have several card kits all cut and prepared for you. Each card is $2 and all you do is put them together. There are always several cards from which to choose. All you have to bring is adhesive, and I provide the rest! I suggest bringing a regular paper adhesive, glue dots, and some kind of foam tape.

I have hosted card buffets in my home before, but I really enjoy going to other people's homes and meeting their friends. I am scheduling dates for card buffets for the next few months, so if you're interested, please let me know! To host a card buffet of your own, simply contact me to find a time that works for both of us, and then invite several friends over for a fun night of crafting!

--------------------

Here are some questions and answers you may have about my card buffet:
  • What do I need to bring to the buffet? All you need to bring is adhesive. I suggest bringing a regular paper adhesive, glue dots, and some kind of foam tape.
  • How many cards can I make? You can make as many cards as you can within the two-hour class time. All I ask is that you finish each card completely before starting on another one. Most guests complete 3-5 cards.
  • How much does it cost? You pay by the card, and it's $2.00 per card, which includes envelopes. So you can spend as much or as little as you want!
  • How much time will it take to make each card? That mostly depends on how and how quickly you work. Some cards are more detailed, while others are pretty simple.

If you have any other questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask. And if you're interested in hosting a card buffet, please contact me. You can email, call, or text me to find a time that will work!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage

Gratitude Card

Today I'm sharing another card featuring the September stamp of the month set, Blessed Beyond Measure.

One of the things I love most about this stamp set is that it coordinates with our Artbooking Cricut cartridge. I'm always drawn to stamp sets that coordinate with our cartridges or thin cuts because that makes it so much easier to cut out the detailed shapes. On this stamp set, the two large leaves and the pumpkin can be cut out with the Cricut machine, which you'll see in the card below.

This card was created by a fellow Close To My Heart consultant. I love being part of a group that helps each other out with card swaps!

This card shows you how great those Cricut cuts really are! The leaves and the pumpkin were cut out with the Cricut machine, and then she stamped the images and inked around the edges and on top.

This card uses paper from the Enchantment Fundamentals paper packet and a little bit of Coral Shimmer Trim. The sentiment was stamped in Peacock ink.

Remember, the stamp of the month is only available for one month! You can buy it at the full retail price of $17.95, or it's only $5 with a $50 order. Click on the link below to learn more and to get your own Blessed Beyond Measure stamp set:

Party Time Cardmaking Workshop

  • Friday, September 30
  • 6:30-8:30
  • $25 (covers cardmaking kit, shipping, tax, and instruction)

Close To My Heart is offering four wonderful cardmaking workshop kits in the new Holiday Expressions idea book, and I'll be featuring one of them each month from September through December. The first kit is Party Time!

This kit contains materials for creating 10 cards. Easy-to-follow instructions guide you in creating two different card designs, but thanks to the interchangeable designs and stamp sentiments, you can make your cards your way!

Kit Contents:
  • 1 exclusive workshop stamp set (B-size)
  • 2 sheets Jeepers Creepers patterned paper
  • 2 sheets cardstock (1 Emerald, 1 Sea Glass)
  • 1 roll of silver shimmer trim
  • 10 white card bases and envelopes

Because your kit includes a stamp set for you to keep and plenty of leftover supplies, you can continue to make cards after the workshop is over!

The kit comes with everything you need, except for inks and blocks, which I will provide during the workshop. You will need to bring adhesive and basic tools.

Optional Additional Services:
$5 - I will provide any adhesive you need.
$3 - I will cut all of your paper ahead of time so you can just assemble and stamp the cards the day of the workshop.

Sign-Up Deadline:
The deadline to sign up for this workshop is Tuesday, September 20. This will allow me time to order the kits so they arrive in time.

This workshop will take place at my home; if you need directions, please contact me.
Space is limited, so sign up soon! You can email, call, or text me to sign up!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage

Blessed Beyond Measure

The September stamp of the month set is Blessed Beyond Measure:

This stamp set is beautiful and perfect for fall scrapbooking and cards, especially those thankful cards we all mean to send around Thanksgiving! It also coordinates with the Artbooking Cricut cartridge, which makes it even easier to use!

Here is a card that I created using the Blessed Beyond Measure stamp set:

I really love this sentiment, so I wanted to make it the focal point of the card. I stamped it in Sorbet and the little dots in Sea Glass. I also used a piece of a wreath from the You & Me Complements to add a little gold glitter and to highlight the sentiment.

In the corners I used some patterned paper from the Whimsy Fundamentals paper packet, a little Sea Glass cardstock, and ribbon from the Uptown Ribbon Pack.

I love clean and simple cards, and I think this one turned out nicely! This is a great card design to use for little scraps or for those 1/2-inch strips that come at the top of patterned paper sheets.

Remember, the stamp of the month is only available for one month! You can buy it at the full retail price of $17.95, or it's only $5 with a $50 order. Click on the link below to learn more and to get your own Blessed Beyond Measure stamp set:
