Close To My Heart Embossing Folder Blog Hop!

Welcome to the first ever Dr. Phil's Family blog hop! We're so excited that you'll be joining us today as we showcase projects using the fabulous embossing folders from Close To My Heart. These embossing folders are perfect for cards and scrapbooking layouts, since the open slot at the top of each folder allows for longer paper pieces!

For my project I used the Arrow embossing folder, which I thought worked perfectly with the cute arrow paper from the Chalk It Up paper packet. I actually made this card from scraps that I had left over from the Chalk It Up Workshop on the Go kit.

I used the arrow embossing folder on the lagoon paper, and I love how the white core of our cardstock shows through a little when the paper's embossed.

The owl image comes from the August stamp of the month set, What A Hoot, and the "Gee, Thanks" image is actually a sneak peek at a special stamp set available only in September! I stamped the owl twice, once on the arrow patterned paper and once on white daisy cardstock. Then I cut them out and pieced them together. I used our new thin 3-D foam tape to mount the piece of Flaxen cardstock, the tips of the wings, and the speech bubble.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop! Your next stop is Jaymi Victor, who's using the damask embossing folder. Thanks!

All-You-Can-Make Card Workshop!

I'm having an all-you-can-make card workshop this coming weekend. You can come Friday evening or Saturday afternoon (or both!) and make all the cards you can for only $15!

The workshop lasts for two hours - 7:00 to 9:00 Friday evening and 1:00 to 3:00 Saturday afternoon.

During this workshop you will be able to make as many cards as you can or want in two hours. I will have several different styles and types of cards to choose from. You choose what you want to do and work at your own pace. I will provide any necessary stamps and inks. You will need to supply your own paper trimmer, scissors, pencil or pen, and adhesive. If you don't have your own tools or adhesive, you may use mine for an additional charge of $2.00.

Please RSVP no later than Wednesday, August 20, and space is limited. Please email, text, or call for more information and/or directions to my house.

It's going to be a lot of fun, so I hope to see you there!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage

Here are a few cards that I've made with this stamp set:

As you can see, this set is not just for Halloween! The first three cards were made with the brand-new Scaredy Cat paper packet, but the fourth card used the new Confetti Wishes paper packet.

Remember - this stamp set is only available during the month of August! It retails for $17.95, or you can get it for only $5.00 with an order of $50 or more.

Contact me today or place your order online at my website!
