April Stamp of the Month

Today I'm sharing all about the April stamp of the month set - Color Your Life. This is a really fun set for both cards and scrapbooking.

All of the sentiments can be used separately, or they can all be used together for one, long scrapbooking title. I think these letters will be so fun to color in, and I look forward to using this stamp set more in the future.

As in other months, I have seen some great artwork online using this stamp set. If you're interested in seeing some of this artwork, search the hashtags #ctmhcoloryourlife, #ctmhsotm, #stampofthemonth, or #ctmhstampofthemonth on social media. Those should get you some good ideas!

Here are a few cards I made using the Color Your Life stamp set. The patterned paper comes from a brand-new paper packet coming next month!

The Color Your Life stamp of the month is only available in April! You can buy it at the full retail price of $17.95 or get it for only $5 with a $50 order.

Postcard Perfect Layouts

Today I want to share several layouts I've made with the brand-new, exclusive, coming-in-May Postcard Perfect collection from Close To My Heart!

This new collection will be available to order in May in honor of National Scrapbooking Month, and it will only be available for one month! If you want to find out more about all the product offerings, check out my blog post from last week.

Today I'm sharing three layouts I made with the paper packet, the coordinating cardstock, and the Postcard Perfect stamp set. I'm also offering these as part of a scrapbooking workshop on May 4, but you have to sign up today if you would like to attend the workshop. For more details about the workshop, please visit the Facebook event page.

Here are pictures of my three layouts.

These layouts were designed by a fellow CTMH consultant and provided to all consultants to use in our workshops. I just love my job and all of its perks!

Close To My Heart is also offering a Cut Above layout kit as part of the Postcard Perfect collection. This layout kit provides you with everything (except adhesive) to make three two-page layouts - and it also includes page protectors! It features pre-printed base pages, die-cuts, and stickers - no need for stamping or cutting! These layouts are really beautiful, so I thought I'd share mine with you today. There are a few stickers I haven't put on the second layout yet; I'll wait until I put down my photos. But here they are!

Aren't they gorgeous?! You'll be able to purchase the Cut Above layout kit separately, or you can save 20% when you buy it as part of a bundle. There will be album bundles available, as well as a Postcard Perfect bundle, which includes the paper packet, coordinating cardstock, and the stamp set.

Again, if you'd like to complete these layouts with me at my Postcard Perfect Scrapbooking Workshop, please visit the Facebook event page to RSVP. You can also contact me to sign up, and you can even pay for the workshop ahead of time with a credit card at my online shop. Just scroll to the bottom of the page and choose your workshop time.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, and I'll have links for all of these products once May arrives!

Postcard Perfect

Today I want to tell you all about the special paper packet Close To My Heart has for National Scrapbooking Month in May!

For the past several years, to celebrate National Scrapbooking Month, Close To My Heart has offered an exclusive paper packet during the month of May. This year they are offering several exclusive new products - the Postcard Perfect paper packet, the Postcard Perfect stamp set, coordinating cardstock, the Postcard Perfect Cut Above layout kit, and several discounted bundles!

You can't order these products until May 1st, but I wanted to show them to you since I'm offering a scrapbooking workshop with some of them on Friday, May 4th. As a consultant I can order these products in advance, so if you sign up for this workshop, you'll get your products before most customers!

The workshop will feature the Postcard Perfect paper packet, the Postcard Perfect stamp set, and the pack of coordinating cardstock.

The paper packet includes 16 paper sheets, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs, and 2 each of 2 vellum paper designs. One of the paper designs also includes large icons designed to be trimmed out and added to your page as bold embellishments and dynamic titles.

The Postcard Perfect Stamp Set is an exclusive D-size stamp set with sentiments, titles, palm tree, and floral images that coordinate with the paper packet.

The coordinating cardstock pack includes 12 cardstock sheets, 2 each of 6 colors, including an exclusive, off-palette color unavailable outside of this kit! The 6 cardstock colors are Bashful, Canary, Peacock, Sorbet, White Daisy, and an off-palette mint.

All of these products can be purchased separately, or you can purchase them as a bundle, which also includes the beautiful Postcard Perfect Cut Above layout kit. The layout kit provides materials for creating three 2-page layouts, which I will post pictures of next week. The kit includes die-cuts, stickers, photo placeholders, and four 12" x 12" Memory Protectors.

When you purchase these items in the bundle, you save 20%!!

If you are interested in attending my scrapbooking workshop, please visit the Facebook event page to learn more and to RSVP. You can also find pictures of the layouts on the event page. There are three kit options depending on which products you want, but Option A is the best deal since you get that 20% off discount from Close To My Heart!

I'll be posting more about these exclusive products later in the month and in May, so be sure to check back!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage

Using Up a Paper Collection

In preparation for the new Seasonal Expressions 2 idea book from Close To My Heart, I've been trying to use up the rest of my paper and scraps from the current paper collections. I've not been very good at that in the past, and I have lots of partially-used paper collections in my craft room!

I have a few strategies for using up paper collections. First of all, if I haven't completed the layouts or cards from the workshops provided by CTMH, I'll do those first. All of their workshop guides can be downloaded for free from my CTMH website, even if you didn't purchase the workshop kits. Once I've made all of those that I want, if I still have leftover supplies, I'll look through the idea book and see if there are any projects in there that I want to copy - and there usually are! Finally, I'll get on Instagram and search the hashtag for the paper collection I'm trying to use up.

Yesterday I decided to start working my way through my Chelsea Gardens leftovers. I had already made four layouts and several cards from the scrapbooking workshop kit, so I looked through the idea book. I found a card I had noticed earlier but hadn't made, so I decided to make it! And then, since I had enough leftover paper, I decided to make it one of my card buffet cards for next month!

The polka-dot paper is from the Chelsea Gardens collection, but the yellow paper is from Stargazer. I love how the idea book shows how to mix and match collections! This card also uses stamped images from the We Belong Together stamp set. But unfortunately, that stamp set will be retiring at the end of April.

I also checked Instagram and the hashtag #ctmhchelseagardens. Over the past several months, I have started saving card and layout ideas on Instagram in collections, and I love being able to find all of my favorite ideas in one place!

The layout below was inspired by a layout from @donnascraftyheart several months ago. If you don't follow her, you should! I really loved what she did, and I love how my layout turned out!

I had plenty of 12-inch strips left from my Chelsea Gardens paper packet, so I cut them to 1.25-inch wide and spaced them out on a piece of White Daisy cardstock. I used some remaining Complements for the title and embellishments and two cut-apart cards for the journaling block.

I still have some more Chelsea Gardens ideas saved on my Instagram account, and I'm hoping I'll get around to making them this week.

I hope you've been inspired to use up your paper collections, and I hope you'll share some of what you make!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage

Gimme Some Sugar Collection

Today I'm here to tell you all about the last featured paper collection from the current Seasonal Expressions 1 idea book - Gimme Some Sugar! These papers are so pretty, and I love the color combinations.

While there are several papers that are kitchen themed in this paper packet, the back sides of those papers are pretty neutral and could be used with lots of different pictures and projects. I love that Close To My Heart provides themed papers, but at the same time provides many basic and easy-to-use patterns.

The Gimme Some Sugar Paper Packet has some wonderful coordinating products!

There are also two kits available as part of the Gimme Some Sugar Collection.

Here are a few projects featured in the Seasonal Expressions 1 idea book that have been made with products from the Gimme Some Sugar collection. You can also find more ideas by searching for CTMH Gimme Some Sugar on Pinterest or searching the hashtag #ctmhgimmesomesugar on social media.

Thanks for checking out all of these great products, and don't forget about the specials going on this month!

Let me know if you have any questions about anything, and I hope you have fun creating with the Gimme Some Sugar Collection!

Thanks,
Bethany Rielage
