July Scrapbooking Workshops


Close To My Heart has four main paper collections in the current seasonal idea book, and I'll be featuring one of them each month from May through August in my monthly scrapbooking workshops. In July we'll be working with the Into the Wild paper collection!



Each paper collection has multiple scrapbooking kits, and you get to choose which one you would like to complete! Close To My Heart has chosen embellishments for the kits to give you two different themes for the paper collection. There is a Workshops Your Way kit or two Deluxe kits, and all the Into the Wild kits make three two-page layouts.

If you choose the Workshops Your Way Into the Wild Scrapbooking Kit, here are the three layouts you will make. These layouts are geared more toward little boys, but you could switch out some of the embellishments to make them more neutral.





If you choose one of the Into the Wild Deluxe Scrapbooking Workshop Kits, these are the layouts you will make. These layouts focus more on the outdoors and are pretty gender-neutral.





The cost of the workshop covers the kit, shipping and tax, and my time pre-cutting your papers. The kits are different prices and include different materials. Click on the links below to see what's included in each kit. If you already own the stamp set in the deluxe workshop, you have the option to purchase a kit without the stamp set.

This kit contains materials for creating 12 cards - six each of two designs. Easy-to-follow instructions guide you in creating two different card designs, but you also have the freedom to make your cards your way!




The cost of the workshop is $30, which covers the workshop kit, shipping and tax, the use of my supplies, and my instruction. Your papers will also be pre-cut and ready for you to assemble! All you need to bring is adhesive.

Here's what's included in the You're Awesome Cardmaking Kit.
  • 1 exclusive workshop stamp set (B-size)
  • 2 sheets of Into the Wild patterned paper
  • 2 sheets of cardstock (1 Sapphire, 1 White Daisy)
  • 1 roll of Mink Twine
  • 12 white card bases & envelopes
  • printed instructions


If you prefer to just make the cards and not purchase a full kit, you may purchase individual pre-cut card kits in sets of two (one of each design). Each set of two cards will be $5, and I will need to know how many sets you would like when you RSVP.

I will also provide additional stamp sets if you would like to change up the sentiments on your cards.

Workshop Guide
I have created my own 10-page scrapbooking workshop for this collection, and I'm so excited to share it with you!


The layouts in this workshop are based on patterns from three how-to books from Close To My Heart -- Reflections and Make It from Your Heart, Volumes 1 and 2. Using my cutting instructions and assembly guide, you will create five two-page 12x12 scrapbooking layouts!

Here are the supplies and tools needed to complete this workshop.

Option 1
Place an order of $25 or more on my Close To My Heart website, and I will send you the cutting guide and assembly instructions for free! Simply send me an email at rielage517@gmail.comafter placing your order, and I will email you the PDF files. This is a great option if you don't have some of the supplies or the how-to books. (Reflections is on clearance right now!)

Option 2
You can purchase the cutting guide and assembly instructions directly from me for $12. This is a great option if you already own the necessary supplies or if you're a CTMH consultant and would like to use the guide to hold your own in-home workshops. When you order, let me know if you're a consultant and would like me to send a consultant permission form with your guides.

Freshly Made Sketches 384

Today I have a card for you based on a sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches blog!




And here's my card.



The stamped images come from the April stamp of the month set, Love So Sweet. This stamp set is so pretty and has several great sentiments in beautiful fonts. And the best part about this stamp set is that you can get it for only $5 this month with a qualifying order!


The patterned paper for my card comes from the Feels Like Home paper packet, and I also used some Fern cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Fern ink and the butterfly in Charcoal, and then I added some silver sequins to finish it off!

Bring Back My Pack - Zoe

I really love the "Bring Back My Pack" specials from Close To My Heart. The first time was with More Magical last year, and right now, they've brought back the Zoe paper packet from 2015. I loved creating with this collection the first time around, so I'm really excited that I get to use it again!


The colors in this collection have been updated slightly to match our current color palette, and a new 12x12 sticker sheet has been added to the paper packet. Plus, Close To My Heart has created a brand-new scrapbooking and cardmaking workshop to go along with this collection! The instructions show you how to make four two-page layouts and six cards, and there's even a discounted bundle available, which includes most of the materials needed for the workshop.
