February Cardmaking Variations

Each month I offer cardmaking workshops using the fun and easy-to-use cardmaking kits from Close To My Heart. Each kit provides you with instructions and materials to make 12 cards - six each of two designs. In February, we'll be working with the Lucky Friendship cardmaking kit, and here are the two cards I made following the provided instructions.




I think these cards are really cute, but one of my favorite things to do with a cardmaking kit is try to change things up! I will often use the same stamp set and just try to change up the sentiments or the paper placement, but sometimes I like to try out different stamp sets too. This patterned paper was a little tricky to change since the hearts can only go one direction, so I mostly just changed up my cards using different stamp sets.

I love changing things up, but it's also perfectly fine to make the cards just the way they are in the instructions! The beauty of these kits is that they give you a great starting point but allow you the freedom to make your cards the way you want. I also love to take the instructions from these kits and use them to cut up older papers that I still have and make even more cards quickly and easily!

Heart Happy Scrapbooking Workshop

For my February scrapbooking workshops, we will be working with the Heart Happy paper collection from Close To My Heart! This collection is only available until the end of February, and I have really loved working with these papers and stickers. The colors are just so pretty together!

I am a member of a group sponsored by another CTMH consultant who creates these fabulous layouts each month. Being a member of this group allows me access to her cutting and assembly guides and the ability to share them with my customers! To make these layouts, you can purchase a pre-cut kit from me and attend an in-home workshop, or you can purchase the products on your own and I'll send you the directions.

You will also receive Customer Loyalty Points no matter which option you choose! If you order the materials yourself, you will earn points for your order ($1 = 1 point). If you purchase a pre-cut kit from me and attend an in-home workshop, you will receive 30 points. It's a win-win!

February Cardmaking Workshops

Close To My Heart has four cardmaking kits in the Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book, and I'll be featuring one of them each month from January through April. The kit we'll be working with in February is the Lucky Friendship Cardmaking Kit!



This kit contains materials for creating 12 cards. Easy-to-follow instructions guide you in creating two different card designs, but you also have the freedom to make your cards your way!




The cost of the workshop is $26, which covers the workshop kit, the use of my supplies, and my instruction. Your papers will also be pre-cut and ready for you to assemble! All you need to bring is adhesive.

Here's what's included in the One Scoop at a Time Cardmaking Kit.
  • 1 exclusive workshop stamp set (B-size)
  • 2 sheets of I Heart Us patterned paper
  • 2 sheets of cardstock (1 Sapphire, 1 White Daisy)
  • 1 sheet of Black Glitter Paper
  • 12 white card bases & envelopes
  • printed instructions

I will also provide additional stamp sets if you would like to change up the sentiments on your cards.

Because your kit includes a stamp set for you to keep and leftover supplies, you can continue to make cards after the workshop is over!
