Jump on It July - Paper Bird

I'm back with another set of cards featuring one of Close to My Heart's fabulous hostess rewards stamp sets. You only have today and tomorrow to get these stamp sets for only $5 each! To find out more about this month's special, click here.

Today's featured stamp set is Paper Bird.

As soon as I saw this stamp set, I knew I wanted to use up some of my retired Skylark paper to make some cards. Here's what I came up with!

I got my initial inspiration from this card, but then I changed things up as I went along. In addition to the Paper Bird stamp set and the Skylark paper pack, I used the Oceanside Sequins. I stamped images with Desert Sand, Lagoon, and Sweet Leaf.

Thanks for stopping by!

I have a rookie question. Are the "papers" you talk about already formed as cards? Or do you fold them into the shape you want?

The patterned papers I use are all 12x12 sheets. I usually buy white 8.5x11 cardstock to use as card bases because there's less cutting and no scraps leftover. I cut an 8.5x11 sheet in half to make two 4.25x5.5 card bases (folded). Hope that helps!
