I'm a day late with my Mojo Monday card this week, but I still made it! This week I'm using scraps from my Sugar Rush paper packet - this paper is just so fun!
Here's this week's sketch:
And here's my card for this week:
As mentioned above, I'm using paper from the Sugar Rush paper packet this week. I absolutely love these colors and the fun patterns. The sentiment comes from the Sugar Rush Cardmaking Stamp Set, which I also love. You can also purchase the stamp set bundled with the coordinating Thin Cuts! I stamped the sentiment in Pomegranate ink onto a Slate cardstock circle.
I added a donut chipboard piece from the Sugar Rush Complements pack, and then I finished off the card with some Sugar Rush Dots. I also added a little bit of White Twine in the background.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope you find some time to play with paper this week!

Friday Favorites - Flexible Designs
Close To My Heart has easy-to-use workshops, which include wonderful scrapbooking and card designs. But sometimes I want to change things up, and because Close To My Heart has such great designs and products that work so well together, that's an easy thing to do!
Earlier this month I shared with you some alternate cards for the Mother's Day Cardmaking Workshop Kit, and I'm doing the same today with the kit for March - the Happy Congratulations Cardmaking Kit. We'll be working with this kit at my March Coffee & Cards workshop, and you'll be able to make these alternate cards if you want to.
Here are the cards as they were designed for the workshop kit:
The kit includes an exclusive workshop stamp set, which includes the sentiments you see above. The kit is designed for you to make six cards of each of the two designs. Of course you can mix and match the sentiments and designs, which gives you a total of four different cards.
Using the wonderful Thin Cuts from Close To My Heart, I have created some alternate cards that (in my opinion) work extremely well with these card designs. Here's what I've come up with!
In the picture above you can see two cards that use the workshop stamp set and two cards that use the Thin Cuts. In all four cards, the design and placement of the patterned paper is the same.
Here's another set of four cards:
Again, two of the cards were created with sentiments from the workshop stamp set, and the other two cards were created with Thin Cuts. I love how adaptable these card designs were, and it was pretty easy to make beautiful cards with the Thin Cuts!
If you're interested in making any of these cards, I really hope you'll join me this month for my Coffee & Cards workshop!
The sign-up deadline is Wednesday, March 1. You can RSVP on the Facebook event page, or you can email, call, or text me to sign up!

March Coffee & Cards
I had a great time at my Coffee & Cards workshop in February, and I'm having another one in March! At this workshop you will complete 12 cards while enjoying coffee (or hot chocolate) and some light snacks.
The cost of the workshop covers all of your materials (including adhesive), coffee/hot chocolate and snacks, the use of my supplies, and my instruction. If you would like me to cut your paper for you, it will be an additional $3.
At the workshop you will receive the Happy Congratulations Cardmaking Kit. This kit includes an exclusive workshop stamp set, three sheets of Dreamin' Big patterned paper, one pack of White & Gold Ribbon, one pack of Gold Glitter Gems, two sheets of cardstock (1 Sea Glass, 1 White Daisy), and 12 white card bases and envelopes. All of these materials are yours to keep!
The workshop stamp set includes a "Happy Wedding Day" sentiment and a "Congratulations" sentiment. If you don't want to make all of your cards with these two sentiments, I will have additional supplies and ideas for making different cards with your workshop materials. Watch for Friday's blog post, which will highlight these alternative cards!

Mojo Monday 485 - Hello Lovely
I'm here today with another Mojo Monday card for you, and I really like this week's sketch! I can definitely see myself making some more cards with this same design.
Here's this week's sketch:
And here's my card for this week:
For this card I used the featured paper packet for February, Hello Lovely. I've really enjoyed working with these softer, subtler patterns this month, and I love the gold accents in the embellishments.
The sentiment comes from one of my favorite stamp sets, Happy Heart. I stamped the sentiment in Sorbet and inked the edges of the papers in Whisper. I added a few stickers from the Hello Lovely Complements pack, and then I added some White & Gold Twine and one Gold Glitter Gem to finish the card.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you'll try making your own cards or scrapbooking layouts with the beautiful Hello Lovely paper!

Card Buffet Cards - Part 2
Today I want to share with you two more cards that will be available for you to make at my card buffets this month. They are actually two variations of the same design, but you're welcome to make both of them! At my card buffets you can make as many cards as you want for only $2 per card! I have several designs from which to choose, and all the paper is pre-cut for you!
Hello Lovely is the featured paper packet for the month of February, so both of these cards use paper from that collection.

Hello Lovely is the featured paper packet for the month of February, so both of these cards use paper from that collection.
Here's the first variation:
This is a pretty simple card. There's one piece of Hello Lovely patterned paper, a strip of Blush Shimmer Ribbon, and then a piece of Sea Glass cardstock cut with the brand-new XOXO Thin Cuts.
Here's another variation of this card:
For this variation I used the back side of the Hello Lovely patterned paper and added another strip of patterned paper above it. I then added a strip of Gold Shimmer Trim. I cut a piece of Sorbet cardstock with the XOXO Thin Cut die, and then I added some sparkle with the Gold Shimmer Brush. It kinda takes the card up a notch!
Both of these cards will be available for you to make at my card buffets this month - along with several other cards. Here's a picture of all the cards that will be available for you to make.
If you have any questions about any of these cards, or if you would like to RSVP for one of my card buffets and make these cards yourself, please contact me. You can also sign up on my Facebook event pages at the links below.

Mojo Monday 484 - Sugar Rush
I have another Mojo Monday card for you this week, and I'm back to using one of my favorite paper packets and a current favorite stamp set!
Here's the sketch for this week's challenge:
And here's my card:
All the patterned papers come from the Sugar Rush paper packet, and the chipboard arrows come from the Sugar Rush Complements pack. I also added a few Sugar Rush Dots on top of the arrows to give it some more sparkle.
The sentiment comes from the Sugar Rush Cardmaking stamp set, and I stamped it in Pomegranate ink.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope you'll take a look around at some of my other blog posts and workshop information.

Friday Favorites - Enamel Dots
Enamel dots are some of my favorite embellishments. They're great for both scrapbooking and cardmaking because they're smooth and flat. This makes them ideal for non-bulky layouts and for mailing. And they're also pretty!
Here's a card I made yesterday for my husband's birthday:
The patterned papers on this card come from the Adventure Fundamentals and Uptown Fundamentals paper packets. The sentiments come from the Beyond Awesome stamp set, which is, unfortunately, retired. It was one of my favorites! I finished off the card with some black enamel dots from the Black & White Dots pack.
Here are some other cards I've made with enamel dots recently. I've listed the specific pack of embellishments under each picture.
I hope you'll consider trying out some enamel dots on your next project!

Mojo Monday 483 - Cherish
I'm here today with my first Mojo Monday card for February! Yesterday was a bit crazy around here, so I didn't get around to making a card, but I have it for you today.
Here's the sketch for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge:
And here's my take on it:
For this card all the papers come from the Hello Lovely paper packet. I love that there are multiple patterns in lots of different sizes that I can mix and match. I basically pulled out my scraps and used what I already had for most of the pieces on this card. I did have to trim a few pieces and cut the circle, but I really love making do with what I already have cut - especially for cards.
My sentiment comes from the Finding the Words stamp set. I chose "Cherish This Day," but you could choose any of the multiple sentiments from this set and they would work on this card. I stamped the sentiment in Fern ink. This stamp set is also available in French and Spanish!
I added some Blush Shimmer Ribbon and some Gold Glitter Gems to finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you're inspired to make your own card this week!
Thanks,
Bethany Rielage
