Gingerbread Friends Cards

Today I'm sharing two more cards available at my card buffets this month. The inspiration for these cards came from the Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Workshop Kit, but I changed them up by using a different stamp set.

Here are the cards I made:

Both of these cards use papers from the Beary Christmas paper packet and images from the Gingerbread Friends stamp set.

This set is also available as a Thin Cuts bundle, which makes those cute gingerbread people even easier to cut out!

I used the cutting guide from the Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Workshop Kit (which is available to download for free here) to cut all the papers and then I just substituted the Gingerbread Friends images for the stamped images they had suggested.

I changed up the placement of the Beary Christmas Dots and added a white rectangle on one of the cards for stamping the sentiment. The ink colors I used are Toffee, Cranberry, New England Ivy, and Black.

Punny Pals Card

Today I want to share with you one of the cards I'm offering at my card buffets this month. It's a favorite of mine because it uses the adorable Punny Pals stamp set!

The polka dot patterned paper and the strip of leaves come from the Falling for You paper packet, and the square of grey patterned paper behind the speech balloon comes from the Basics Fundamentals paper packet. I also used some Goldrush and Fern cardstock. For extra bling, I added a strip of gold glitter paper behind the leaves.

The speech bubble was cut from White Daisy cardstock with the now-retired Artiste Cricut cartridge. I also cut out the little bear image from White Daisy cardstock, but for that one I used the brand-new, only-available-this-month Punny Pals Thin Cuts - they make using these little animals so much easier! I then colored it in with our ShinHan markers.

To add a little more bling, I put some gold shimmer on the speech bubble using our Gold Shimmer Brush, and then I added a few Gold Glitter Gems!

The sentiment I used comes from the Stronger Together stamp set. This set is beautiful - and all the proceeds are being donated to the Red Cross to help with relief efforts across the country.

Beary Christmas Layouts

Earlier this week I shared all the information about my upcoming Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Workshop, so today I wanted to share the actual layouts I created with this kit.

I stayed really close to the workshop guide provided by Close To My Heart. In fact, the only real change I made was to turn over the background paper on layout 2; I preferred using the bear paper instead of the flower paper. I may have adjusted the embellishments a little or added more than was suggested, but I think that was about it!

Punny Pals Workshop

I've decided to add two workshops this month featuring the special Share a Smile card kit and the Punny Pals stamp set!

During these workshops you will put together eight 3x3-inch cards. I will provide all the paper, supplies, tools, and adhesive you need, so all you have to do is show up!

You can choose which animals and sentiments you would like for your cards from the Punny Pals stamp set.

If you can't attend one of the in-home workshops but would still like to make the cards, you can purchase a to-go kit for $12 plus shipping (if needed).

Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Workshop

For my October scrapbooking workshop, we'll be working with the Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Kit!

This workshop kit retails for $27.95 and provides you with enough materials to create three 12x12 two-page layouts. It also provides you with the paper and embellishments to make eight cards! Plus, you'll have leftover scraps!

Here's what you receive with this kit:

1 Beary Christmas Paper Packet
1 pack of Beary Christmas Complements
1 pack of Beary Christmas Dots
1 roll of Silver Shimmer Trim
6 sheets of cardstock (2 Cranberry, 1 Fern, 3 White Daisy)

Cost:

The cost of the workshop is $35. This covers the cost of the kit, shipping, tax, printed directions, and my instruction. If you have already ordered the kit on your own but would still like to come to the workshop, please bring $3.00 to cover my instructional time.

Cards:

When you follow the cutting guide for cutting your kit, along with all the pieces for your layouts, you will also end up with pieces for eight cards (four each of two designs). There are additional supplies needed to complete these cards, but if you would like to complete them during the workshop, I will provide card bases and envelopes and the use of my stamps and inks for $6.00. Just let me know when you RSVP if you'll be wanting to complete the cards as well!

Sign-up Deadline:
The deadline to sign up for this workshop is Wednesday, October 18th. The deadline allows me to order the kits in time.

Optional Additional Services:
$5 - I will provide any adhesive you need, including foam tape.
$5 - I will cut all of your paper ahead of time so you can just assemble and decorate the layouts the day of the workshop.

What do you need to bring?
Please bring adhesive (I suggest a regular paper adhesive, glue dots, and foam tape) and basic tools (a paper cutter and scissors).
