Mojo Monday 494 - HB2U

I'm back with another Mojo Monday card today! For this week's card I tried to make a more masculine card for all those boy birthdays I never seem to have cards for!

Here's the sketch for this week:

And here's my take on it:

All the papers on this card come from the Some Kinda Wonderful paper packet from Close To My Heart. As I was going through my scraps, I deliberately chose papers that I thought were more masculine. I normally don't have trouble making more feminine cards, but I always seem to have a shortage of cards for boys.

I followed the sketch pretty closely this week. The stamped circle image comes from the Some Kinda Wonderful Scrapbooking stamp set, and the HB2U sentiment (which means Happy Birthday to You) comes from the Some Kinda Wonderful Cardmaking stamp set. I stamped the circle in Willow ink and the sentiment in Black and Whisper ink.

I popped up the circle with some thin foam tape, and I added a few Black & White Dots to finish off the card. I'm a little obsessed with these Black & White Dots right now! They're beautiful and so versatile - and nice and thin, which makes them perfect for cards. And don't worry - they're sticking around through the next seasonal catalog too!

As I was creating my card this morning, I put together some other scraps for another card, which I think turned out to be super cute! I'll be sharing it later this evening on my Facebook page, so I hope you'll stop by there later and check it out. And I'm also doing a giveaway over there. Once I reach 100 followers on my Stamping at Home Facebook page, I'll do a giveaway for some crafty goodies! So I hope you'll stop by and follow my page!

Thanks for stopping by today! Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks,
