April Stamping Workshop

During this workshop you can make cards or a scrapbooking layout - or both! For only $8 you can make four cards (two each of two designs) or one two-page scrapbooking layout. This workshop is perfect for both beginners and more advanced crafters, and it's a great opportunity to bring friends! Gimme Some Sugar is the featured paper collection for April, so we'll be using that in this month's workshop.

You can bring your own adhesive, or I can provide it for $5.00. The sign-up deadline is Sunday, April 8th - or until kits sell out!

A Slice of Happy Cards

Today I'm sharing the cards I made using the A Slice of Happy Cardmaking Kit. This kit features the Stargazer papers and a fun exclusive-to-the-kit stamp set.


Close To My Heart has four wonderful cardmaking kits in the Seasonal Expressions 1 idea book - one for each of the four paper collections. Each kit provides you with the materials to make 12 cards with a stamp set exclusive to the kit.

I love to use these kits, but I also like to try and change up the cards to make them my own. For this particular kit, I didn't change things up too much, but I did try a few variations.

These were so much fun to make, and I hope you give them a try!

The cardmaking kits are a great deal, and I love getting exclusive stamp sets, but even if you don't end up purchasing the cardmaking kits, I would encourage you to download the instructions and try making your own variations!

Step Right Up Scrapbooking Workshop

During this workshop you will make three two-page layouts using the Step Right Up bundle from Close To My Heart.


The cost of the workshop is $45, which covers all of your supplies (except adhesive), full-color printed directions, the use of my tools, and my personal instruction. You will also receive all of the leftover materials from your Step Right Up bundle, including a stamp set (valued at $17.95) that is yours to keep!

If you would prefer to purchase the bundle on your own, you may do so, but I will need to get your kit from you ahead of time to cut it. It will be $12 to cover the cutting, the use of my tools, and my instruction time.

March Stamp of the Month

Today I'm sharing all about the March stamp of the month set - Birthday Time. This has to be one of my favorite stamp of the month sets ever! I love sending birthday cards - especially to children - and this set is perfect for that!


There are so many fun sentiments in this set, and it's perfect for coloring! It's a great set for birthday cards, birthday or party layouts, or party invitations.




As in other months, I have seen some great artwork online using this stamp set. If you're interested in seeing some of this artwork, search the hashtags #ctmhbirthdaytime, #ctmhsotm, #stampofthemonth, or #ctmhstampofthemonth on social media. Those should get you some good ideas!

Step Right Up Scrapbooking Guide

I'm excited to share my newest scrapbooking workshop - Step Right Up!



This scrapbooking workshop features the new Step Right Up bundle and patterns from the Reflections how-to book from Close To My Heart. Using my cutting guide and assembly instructions, you will create three two-page 12x12 scrapbooking layouts!

This discounted bundle is only available through the end of March, so be sure to grab it while it's still available! The bundle contains most of the materials needed to complete this workshop, including most of your paper, a stamp set, and embellishments.

There are two options for purchasing this workshop guide.

Option 1:
Place an order of $25 or more on my Close To My Heart website, and I will send you the cutting guide and assembly instructions for free! This is a great option if you don't already have the Step Right Up bundle, the Reflections how-to book, or some of the additional supplies.

Option 2:
You can purchase the cutting guide and assembly instructions directly from me for $10. This is a great option if you already own the necessary supplies or if you're a CTMH consultant and would like to use the guide to hold your own in-home workshops. When you order, let me know if you're a consultant and would like me to send a consultant permission form with your guides.

Freshly Made Sketches 327

I'm here with another card for you based on a sketch, but this sketch is from the Freshly Made Sketches blog!



And here's my card:


I've been wanting to make some cards with the March Stamp of the Month Set, Birthday Time, for awhile now, so this was a perfect opportunity! This stamp set is so much fun and has so many great birthday sentiments. And the best part about this stamp set is that you can get it for only $5 this month with a qualifying order!


The patterned paper for my card comes from the Stargazer paper packet, and I also used some Poppy cardstock. I stamped the word "Celebrate" several times in Poppy ink to create my own patterned paper, and then I adhered some Gold Shimmer Trim over the edge where the papers meet. I stamped the "1 Year Older" in Sapphire ink on White Daisy cardstock, cut it out, and adhered it with Thin 3D Foam Dots. Then I added some Gold Glitter Gems to finish it off!
